Locust CRISIS IN SOMALIA and East Africa – Prayer Required Urgently

Locust CRISIS IN SOMALIA and East Africa – Repentance & Intercession Prayers Required Urgently..!!!

We have been informed of a Crises in Somalia – with the  Locusts shredding through natural resources, that that the Somalians depend on..!!!

Swarms of locusts have already destroyed hundreds of thousands of hectares of crops and pastureland in eight African countries, including Somalia, and they threaten to spread wider.

Without intervention, 4.9 million people could be plunged into hunger and famine as a fourth round of desert locusts hatch and ravage crops across the Horn and East Africa.

As terrifying swarms of locusts descended upon Somalia, Sahal Farah of Docol, an International Rescue Committee partner organization, reported to us the dire situation on the ground:

“This is the worst locust invasion we have seen in our generation. It has destroyed pastures, contaminated water sources and displaced many pastoral households…

You can read more here: on the Locust invasion, and if you want to support them, all their details are on their website.

But as Torch of Truth we are asking for your Repentance Prayers and Intercession for Somalia & East Africa – for God to intervene, and bring an end to this Locust Plague, as it is the 4th batch of Locusts breading out already – and they are increasing in damage they cause with every batch that hatches…

Experts predict this fourth generation of locust eggs, which is now hatching, will create a locust population 8,000 times larger than the current infestation. This coincides with the start of harvest season, and will be compounded by the COVID-19 pandemic.

As the situation deteriorates, malnourished children will be hit the hardest. In countries like South Sudan, years of conflict and fighting had already caused a severe food insecurity crisis, leaving over one million children suffering from acute malnutrition. With locusts destroying their food sources, these children are now at an extremely increased risk of starvation.

As we know God has given us the answer in the Word how to stop pestilences and plagues like these Locusts & Covid-19 Pandemic.

2Chron 7:13  If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
2Chron 7:14  If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

From this, we can see God is calling on True Repentance from the Nations – a True Turning from their ways, and a Crying out to Him for Salvation and Deliverance…!!!

Africa is in Desperate need of God’s Revival Fire to fall…!!!

Let’s earnestly pray and intercede for these nations in East Africa, as well as the Rest of Africa – that their Crops will be protected and that they won’t have to go through a desperate Famine Season in the months to come, through God’s Revival Fire touching their hearts and Bring Healing to their lands…!!!

If you are a Pastor, Bishop, Reverend etc…or just a Christian with a Passion for God’s Kingdom, and love – in any of these countries, please contact us, and register on our website, and let us help you reach your nation through Repentance Meetings that you can organize  –  in small groups, churches, or any venue you can find…

We will help you, support you and spread the Word on your behalf – and pray with you on the days you are having your meetings…etc…

Large swarms of desert locusts have been invading Kenya for weeks, after having infested some 70 thousand hectares of land in Somalia which the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) has termed the ‘worst situation in 25 years’ in the Horn of Africa. FAO cautioned that it poses an ‘unprecedented threat’ to food security and livelihoods in the region. EPA-EFE/DAI KUROKAWA
